Does anyone have more information on which John Keating this is? What love he must have had for his daughter.

Information from Find A Grave: John Keating was a stonemason, devoted to his children and his niece. Sadly, all three children died in the decade between 1868 and 1878. To commemorate their young lives, Keating carved a dollhouse for their graves. Supposedly, the house, whose interior can be seen through the windows, at one time contained doll furniture.
